Peter Boyle was an American actor known for his roles in both comedic and dramatic productions. He gained widespread recognition for his role as <a href="https://www.wikiwhat.page/kavramlar/Frank%20Barone">Frank Barone</a> in the CBS sitcom Everybody Loves Raymond (1996–2005), for which he received seven Emmy Award nominations.
Prior to his sitcom fame, Boyle established himself as a character actor in films such as Joe (1970), The Candidate (1972), Young Frankenstein (1974) where he played <a href="https://www.wikiwhat.page/kavramlar/The%20Monster">The Monster</a>, and Taxi Driver (1976). He showcased his versatility by taking on roles in independent films like Monster's Ball (2001) and blockbusters like While You Were Sleeping (1995) and The Santa Clause (1994).
Boyle, raised in a devout <a href="https://www.wikiwhat.page/kavramlar/Catholic">Catholic</a> family, initially pursued religious studies and spent time with the <a href="https://www.wikiwhat.page/kavramlar/Christian%20Brothers">Christian Brothers</a> order before turning to acting. His early life experiences informed many of his performances.
He died in 2006 from multiple myeloma and heart disease.
